Maëlle Rixhon

Researcher CE Center

The future will be circular and public authorities, as contracting authorities, have a key role to play: my aim is to help them have the legal tools to do so.

Bio

Maëlle Rixhon is a lawyer at the Brussels bar and, in this context, is passionate about advising public authorities wishing to develop the environmental, circular and social aspects of their public procurements, concessions and public-private partnerships. Noting the challenges that these authorities could face, she decided to look into these issues in a scientific framework to find systemic solutions. In September 2022, she joined the University of Hasselt as a researcher, assigned to the CE Center. She works with Prof. Dr. Steven Van Garsse. Since September 2019, she has also been a research and teaching assistant at the Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles and, in this capacity, is a member of the Séminaire interdisciplinaire d'études juridiques and the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherches en droit constitutionnel et administratif.
